He highlights the fact his team show good levels for a half at a time. For instance, were it not for poor finishing they could have been better than 1-0 up. “There were positives other than the fact that we didn't take more goals,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but I have also to be fair.

“The level we had at certain moments was really, really, really high. That happened. I could not speak so positively if it was untrue. Therefore, in terms of results, I mentioned it's a repeating pattern. That’s why I said that a change is coming to getting it right. Right now: the fine margins.”

“We produced a lot of encouraging signs that we did, like today again. But now it’s about sustaining it. My narrative would change if it was not the case. That’s why I firmly believe we’re going to be able to get back on track.”

Opposition Reaction Stance

Danny Röhl refused to contemplate a title charge even after what felt like a landmark win. “We take it game by game, so we can gradually build something here,” he said. “The faith in the group is immense.”
