The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a adored, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.

The streaming service revealed recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. This character has the ability to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.

This performer is joined by several other recently announced actors set to bring the group to the screen, such as head Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the cast as the ruler of Alabasta.

Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the character will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Given season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
