The British government is set to progress with utilizing the full worth of frozen Russia's holdings to bolster the Ukrainian defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the leaders of the UK, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany emphasized that this joint measure would heighten pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and persuade Moscow to come to the table.

They clarified that the initiative would be carried out in close cooperation with the United States.

British restrictions have frozen more than £25bn of Russian resources since the Russian government initiated its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, previously, money provided to Ukraine using Russia's holdings had solely been taken from earnings and returns accrued on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were in agreement in their aim to push forward toward employing the total worth of the seized Russian sovereign holdings to conclude the conflict.
